"The 2014 Rauzan-Ségla is a beautiful wine, and well worth seeking out, especially given the more than reasonable prices it can be found at in the market. A blend of 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and the balance Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, it shows the classic, understated style of the vintage. Ripe blueberry and cassis fruit along with subtle vanilla cream, cedarwood, scorched earth and spice are present in this medium to full-bodied, beautifully textured, seamless 2014 that really blossoms with time in the glass. The tannins are prominent yet sweet, it's impeccably balanced, and has a great finish. Give bottles 3-4 years (you can certainly enjoy this today with a decant) and enjoy over the following two-plus decades."
