Vinedo Chadwick 2014, Vina Errazuriz

En unik og historisk flaske vin fra Errazuriz. Denne 16. årgang af Vinedo Chadwick var den første vin i Chiles historie til at opnå de eftertragtede 100 Point.

Viñedo Chadwick repræsenterer Chadwick-familiens langvarede ønske om at ære hukommelsen til den sene Don Alfonso Chadwick Errázuriz med en Ultra Premium-rødvin, nemlig Vinedo Chadwick. Målet er at lave en elegant vin med friskhed og renhed, der viser Maipo Valley på højeste niveau. Selvom Don Alfonso aldrig så den færdige vin, bliver han husket med hver flaske Viñedo Chadwick der bliver nydt af connoisseurs verden over.

Den første årgang af Viñedo Chadwick (1999) blev udgivet til stor succes i 2002. Dens anden årgang (2000) ville senere lave historie den 23. januar 2004, da Berlinsmagningen fandt sted, hvor den slog et udvalg af verdens største vine i blindsmagning.

Siden frigivelse, har Viñedo Chadwick konsekvent modtaget den højeste ros og anerkendelse i hele vinverdenen, herunder med den merit, at være Robert Parkers bedst bedømte Cabernet Sauvignon fra Chile, i hele fem på hinanden følgende årgange.

On May 13th 2016, Viñedo Chadwick 2014 scored a perfect 100 points from international wine critic James Suckling.

This outstanding recognition marked a milestone not only in the history of Viñedo Chadwick but also for the Chilean wine history, as it was the first time a wine from this country achieved 100 points. This perfect score positioned Maipo Alto and Chile among the most prestigious world-class appellations for red wines, such as Bordeaux, Tuscany and Napa.

Following his recent visit to Chile, during which he tasted more than 600 wines from different valleys, international wine critic James Suckling published his article entitled “Chile’s Evolving Quality Wine World” in which he awarded Viñedo Chadwick 2014 100 points: “Perhaps a sign of Chile truly coming of age is the 100-point rating in this report of the pure Cabernet Sauvignon 2014 Viñedo Chadwick. This is a wine that defines the greatness of Chile with a purity, structure and finesse that competes with the best reds of the world. This is a wine that defines elegance and power at the same time.”

Suckling described the wine as “complex aromas of blueberry, blackcurrant and black liquorice. Full bodied yet refined and beautiful with a stunning length and complexity. It has a transparency that shows such greatness and beauty. Half the normal production. Has an energy and brightness. Chile’s first perfect wine and well deserved. Better in 2020.”

Denne utrolig flotte anbefaling fra en af verdens største vinanmeldere, vidner til fulde om den rivende udvikling som Errazuriz har gennemgået igennem de sidste mange år, og heldigvis for alle alle fans af vinene fra Errazuriz, så har det blot givet producenten mere blod på tanden til at stræbe yderligere efter kvalitet, passion og ægte-hed i vinene.
